#2: I never thought this could happen to me: one day at congress...

Hi Reader , welcome and thank you for coming back.

I know how your time is important and valuable to you, so I wanted to first and foremost thank you for coming back to my living room. This truly means a lot to me as I want to make sure you feel welcomed into all of my letters whether the topic is connected with you or someone you might know. As someone who receives many newsletters, there are a few key things that keep me interested. Here are a few:

  • provide me with insights.
  • capture me with an “a-ha” moment.
  • have a visually compelling highlight with a valuable and actionable insight.
  • are not overly done.
  • do not inundate my email inbox.

My goal is to provide you with all of this and more. And if you are ever interested in writing me a letter, just click on reply.

I welcome you to share this letter with someone special in your life who is looking to start an entrepreneurial career, is looking to branch into the event industry or who is looking for ideas and ways to live a better life while embracing who they are.

So welcome to my 2nd Monthly Letter to you.

"“Why Not, Embrace Every Part of Who You Are.” Jacqueline Vazquez

Hi there,

So, in last month’s, I challenged you to go to the basics, analyze your growth and everything you have accomplished. I hope you actually took some time to do that. Were you able to see how firm your foundation was or did you learn that you actually need some improvement? If you have not done this yet, either stop right now and take a few minutes or keep reading the letter and work on it at the end.

In my last letter I opened up and revealed why I love writing letters and how much it means to me to communicate with you in this format. I also mentioned that everyone’s journey is different including our struggles. So something special happened this month, I would really like to share it with you. I shared my story as an advocate with leaders in Congress led by two amazing organizations who created a platform for conversation and advocacy when it comes to family planning and infertility.

Thirty years ago in my early stages as an entrepreneur I was diagnosed with infertility. Coming from a large family, I was stunned, shock and in awe that an illness like infertility was even real. It never came up in a conversation or early childhood when I played with dolls and fantasized what most girls were taught, especially Latinas. When I grow up I will get married and have babies. I wanted three. After college, I started daydreaming on what my life would be like as a wife and mother. I even designed a picture in my head on what the baby's room would look like down to the type of crib. So finding out I was challenged with conceiving really through a wrench on what I thought “motherhood” was about.

Fast forward to 2024, I have redefined what motherhood is to me, I have embraced my journey as a childless not by choice woman, and I have redefined what womanhood means to me. Two years ago I decided to open up about my journey with infertility and it was a decision I was so ready to embrace.

So fast forward to May 14, 2024, this was the day I truly saw the resilience within me when I decided to share my story with Congress. WOW it was AMAZING. I had a VOICE, and on this day I felt alive, heard, and empowered. I was also able to make some meaningful connections, and experience the purpose of advocacy.

So now I ask you, what can you list as achievable moments of impact in your life, that you are most proud of and has shifted your life for the better.

P.S. While I will not be back until next month, we can meet every week on my podcast or my Instagram. To make it easy for you,

Love, Hugs, and Kisses. xoxo

Jacqueline

Hi Reader Welcome back, In Letter #12 I shared how setting boundaries has its benefits and repercussions. Once you set boundaries not only are you scaling down, but you are regaining control of your personal space, time and life. After taking another look at the last letter, I realized I did not share the link to the Psychology Today quick survey on boundaries. Here is the link, Click for Test. When you have a moment take the test and see where you show up on the list. Please note that this...

Hi Reader Welcome back, I hope you don't think I overlooked sending my March letter. To put it simply, I had a busy March schedule. You see, I write my letters in real time because I want them to be authentic and reflect actual experiences as life unfolds. My February letter exposed how I feel I am unshakable. Were you able to take time to evaluate how grounded (unshakable) you are? If not, after you read this month's letter visit the monthly letter archives to review last months letter and...

Hi Reader Welcome back, In January the letter I shared was about progress and how that has impacted my growth. But I also shared how progress is different for everyone. For me, the main focus regarding my progress is what I have learned and continue to learn during the journey of moving towards achieving my goals. That is what enriches my life and gives me purpose. Were you able to evaluate what progress means to you and the impact in your journey? If not, after you read this month's letter...
